Hi, I've been thinking recently about what happens once consoles from the internet age of gaming lose support from their companies. I know that eventually servers get turned off for online multiplayer games, and maybe DLC becomes unavailable as well. For example I never played Red dead redemption on the Xbox 360 and there are many other games from that generation on ps3 and 360 that I plan to get and play, but what do I do if I get these games at a time where you can no longer download patches or DLC. If having a clean console with no updates, and the game are not sufficient to be able to play the game as intended then what do you do? I've heard of things being a lot worse in the current generation where the game out of the box unpatched is just a buggy mess. How could these experiences be preserved after the support of the console ends? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
